Tax risks when working with counterparties, cases from court practice

Denis Mayorov, Senior Tax Consultant and Auditor at Accountor, will explain what unjustified tax benefit is and describe the signs of bad faith that tax authorities look for in taxpayers. Denis will also give recommendations on how to exercise due diligence on counterparties and minimize tax risks. He will also review the latest court practice on unjustified tax benefit and counterparty due diligence.

Denis specializes in taxation, audit, financial consulting, analysis and justification of transfer prices. He has successfully completed a great number of projects for major international companies in various sectors of the economy. Denis graduated in 2006 from the economics faculty of Kazan State Institute of Finance and Economics and obtained a civil law degree in 2009 from the law faculty of Kazan State University. Denis obtained an auditor qualification in 2012 and auditor diploma for general audit in 2010. He also gained an ACCA qualification (Diploma in International Financial Reporting) as well as CIMA qualification (Business Performance Management).
