On November 18, 2020 Dmitry Koronchik, Head of Legal Department at Accountor Russia, had an honor to participate in an online-seminar, organized by the Consulate General of Finland in Saint Petersburg for the Finnish business community in Russia. The topic of Dmitry’s presentation was "Russian Labor Market Development under Covid-19 Outbreak" in which he gave an update on the current labor market from legal and regulatory standpoints and addressed the following issues:

  • Key regulatory measures introduced by the government
  • COVID-19 measures in Moscow and St. Petersburg
  • Key opportunities and challenges for employers/employees
  • How labor market regulation is expected to develop in 2021-2022

The Acting Consul General as well as the Consul for Economic and Regional Cooperation gave welcome remarks and presented an introduction to the topic. The other keynote presentations were held by a Senior Economist from the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) and a Counsellor for Economic and Financial Affairs from the Embassy of Finland in Moscow. Several attendees took part in the discussion.

We would like to thank the Consulate General of Finland in Saint Petersburg for the opportunity to participate in such an important event.
