Dutch Tax Authority bank account numbers changing as of May 1, 2026
As of May 1, 2026, the Dutch Tax Authority and the Benefits Agency will switch from ING to Rabobank.
Fortunately, little will change for entrepreneurs, but it is still wise to check your administration in time!
Do you use one of these payment methods? Then the account number will be adjusted automatically:
- iDEAL payments
- direct debits
Do you manually adjust payment details in your administration or banking environment?
Then check the account number in:
- online banking
- recurring transfers
- paper transfers
- automated payment files or batch payments
- your address book in online banking
Replace these as soon as the new payment information becomes available. This will help prevent errors or delays in tax payments.
Payments to the old ING account number will still go through, but processing may take longer.

Pay extra attention to phishing 🎣
Phishing attempts often increase around changes like this. Always verify whether a message really comes from the Dutch Tax Authority and only use account numbers listed on the official website.
